Coaching
for Positive Performance
(CPP)
Coaching for Positive Performance is a powerful two-day (16 hour) supervisory skills workshop. The workshop is designed to improve employee performance and features a strong emphasis on coaching skills.
The seminar’s primary focus is on direct management and enhancing individual performance levels among supervised employees. Using the CPP techniques taught and then practiced in the safe seminar setting, participants are taken from learning how to most effectively address and correct performance problems all, to the correct methods for properly reinforcing employee performance.
The curriculum ranges from the introductory level for new or potential supervisors to the more advanced level with autonomous decision makers in mind.
Some of the many subjects covered in this extensive workshop include: The Role of the Supervisor, Performance Appraisals, Day-to-Day Coaching, Levels of Initiative, Why People Fail to Perform, Meeting Management, Communication Skills, Sexual Harassment for Managers, Coaching Sessions and much more. The subject matter is taught in a friendly, relatable way to make it easier for the supervisor/manager to “buy-in” to these management techniques, paving the way to the transition of effectively utilizing these tools on the job.
This seminar is “interactive” with a strong focus on coaching skills. Participants will learn how to have “coaching sessions” with employees about on-the-job performance and behavior problems. Coaching has proven to be the most effective method of improving employee performance.
The CPP seminar is designed for a group of 12 participants. I can be somewhat flexible about the number, but for best results, I strongly recommend keeping the size at 12.
Coaching for Positive Performance Follow-Up
Coaching for Positive Performance Follow-Up
is a day and a half training session that is designed to
review
and reinforce
the concepts taught in the initial CPP training session. During the follow-up,
we will review the basics of CPP and introduce new material to reinforce these c
ritical
management tools. This training session also focuses on the proper method of
performance reinforcement.
Whereas CPP focused on correcting behavior
or performance problems, this course gives participants ways to provide positive
recognition to employees. In essence, it is part two of the CPP series.
CPP Follow-Up also teaches how to properly motivate employees and get them to a point where they want to do the job. The second day of this session is specifically designed to meet the employer’s needs. Options include Leadership Development, Gung Ho!, The Legal Side of Hiring & Firing and much more.
*Coaching for Positive Performance is a prerequisite.
The Coaching for Positive Performance series is designed to augment your current policies and is uniquely customized to fit each specific organization. However, it is also very effective when used in a generic setting with participants from non-related organizations.
